“I have a plan for the whole earth, a hand of judgment upon all the nations.” — Isaiah 14:26 NLT
“I will feed the poor in my pasture; the needy will lie down in peace.” — Isaiah 14:30 NLT
“Why? Because you have turned from the God who can save you. You have forgotten the Rock who can hide you.” — Isaiah 17:10 NLT
God extends to us all we will ever need. Yet it is the stubbornness of our own hearts that keeps us from his provision and that even invites destruction. God requires humility and submission from us, and in return we are fully taken care of, as sheep in a shepherd’s pasture. He gives us so much that we will be tempted to believe that provision will never run dry! And it won’t, as long as we remain sheep in his pasture. As long as we keep our face looking toward him, the God who can save us. The Rock who can hide us.
Maybe today you need to ask yourself, “In what ways have I turned from God? Have I forgotten the Rock who can hide me?”
Allow God to search your heart, and don’t reject his correction. Submit to him every piece of yourself and he will make your path straight. He will forgive your sins. And he will restore your soul.
